The Utonagan is a new breed of dog created and introduced in Britian. It is, as yet unrecognised by the Kennel Club as it is still in the beginnings of establishing type, collecting and researching health and pedigree history.

The Utonagan was created through a vision of creating a wolf look-a-like domestic dog with a beautiful temperament, the foundation breeds of our lovely Utonagan were: Malamute, German Shepherd and Siberian Husky which were carefully mixed and cross bred over 15 years ago to establish what we now know as a full breed Utonagan.

Utonagan is a breed in its own right and all Utonagans have a full Pedigree, and should be provided with full Registration papers.

The Utonagan is a large yet agile dog and can excel in many tasks, they are good at obedience, there has been a Utonagan PAT(Pets as therapy) dog, Good citizen awards, Showing and we are now trying them out for rigging (sledding without the snow). A very versatile and loyal breed.

The Utonagan is especially good with children and will be good with other pets it is introduced to in the home. They love company and do not do well by themselves so if you are thinking of adding a Utonagan to your family you should take this into consideration.

All in all the Utonagan is a stunning, lovely natured breed and I hope you will enjoy them as much as we do.
